The focus of the Midlothian Economic Development Board is the promotion of existing business, enterprise expansion and retention, and new business attraction and development.
The board is made up of seven members, five of which must reside inside the city limits. All members serve two year terms. Appointments are made in December.
Current members include: Glen Carlisle, Wayne Shuffield, David Hurst, Jacob Wallace, Kyle Ballard, Bill Burdett, and Bobby Frizzell.
Meetings are held the third Monday of the month at 4:00 p.m.
The City Council's policy is to limit membership to one board/commission at a time in order to provide an opportunity for service and involvement to as many citizens as possible. Training is available to all new appointees.
