1. Do I need a permit for a garage sale and where can I post signs?

No more than (4) garage sales a year, one sale every three month period – no permit required at this time – signs can be placed out (5) days prior to first day of sale and removed within (24) hours following the last day of sale – signs can be placed on private property ONLY – signs shall not be posted on public property, right-of-ways, medians, utility poles, traffic signs or trees. 2. How can I dispose of Hazardous Household Chemical Waste (paint, batteries, insecticides)?

The City of Midlothian has joined forces with the City of Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center (ECC) located at 6400 Bridge Street in Fort Worth to provide for safe disposal of household chemical waste. The ECC is open to residents of the City of Midlothian on Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The mobile Cruiser travels to area neighborhoods to collect leftover household chemicals. Collection events are scheduled from March through November. Check with Donna Brown, Code Enforcement Officer, at 972-775-7614 or visit our website event calendar to find out when the Crud Cruiser will be in Midlothian.

In order to participate in this program, residents must purchase a voucher from the City of Midlothian Utility Billing office. The first 100 residents living inside the city limits will be charged $20.00, after that the fee will be $47.00. Anyone outside of the city limits will be required to pay the $47.00 fee.

4. Who do I contact about overgrown grass that needs to be mowed?

5. Who do I contact for water, sewer, electricity, gas service and garbage removal?

The City's water billing department, at 972-775-7130, can assist you with water, sewer and trash pick-up services. Gas service is provided by Atmos Energy at 1-800-460-3030. There are many electricity providers in the area and a complete listing may be obtained at www.powertochoose.org or www.electricitytexas.com.

6. Is there a dump facility in Midlothian?

The closest facility, BFI Landfill, is located in Itasca. They are located at 2559 FM 66 in Itasca, Texas 76055. Please call the landfill at 254-687-2511.

7. Do I need a reservation to use a city park facility?

9. Where do I pay a ticket or fine?

Fines and tickets may be paid at the City of Midlothian Municipal Court, which is located at 1150 N. Highway 67, Suite 200. Assistance is provided for payment of traffic fines, warrants, court scheduling, truancy and defensive driving.
