Meet the Asst. City Manager

Clyde Melick began working for the City of Midlothian, Texas in July 2018 as the Assistant City Manager.  Prior to employment by the City of Midlothian, Clyde served for nine years as the Director of Planning for the City of Waxahachie, Texas, and most recently as the Assistant Superintendent of Facilities for Waxahachie Independent School District where he played a pivotal role in the development and construction of the new Waxahachie High School.  His education began as a 1988 graduate of Waxahachie High School then he received his Bachelor of Science degree in geography and planning from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos and finally a master's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Texas at Arlington.
