2023 Christmas Festivities & Light-Up Parade

Midlothian Community Park, 3601 S. 14^th Street 

• DATE: Saturday, December 2
• TIME: Festivities - 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Light-Up Parade - 6 p.m.

Parade Information

Registration closed Mon., Nov. 27.

• Theme: "Believe"
• Line-up time: 4 p.m. in the south parking lot for parade entries.  For walkers and those meeting a float drop off, is the middle parking lot at Community Park, then walk down to the south parking lot.
• Step-off time: 6 p.m.
• Route: South 14th Street from Community Park to Mt. Zion Road

Traffic and Parking

Parade Route Map

• S. 14th Street will be closed to all traffic at 5:35 p.m.

• Parade steps off at 6 p.m. from Ashford Lane/S. 14th Street.

• Parade ends at S. 14th Street and Mt. Zion Road.

• Observers of the parade may park in the north lot of the park. Cars may also park along the righthand curb of southbound S. 14th Street.

    o No parking in the northbound lanes of S. 14th Street.

• Please stay in your car or on the southbound sidewalk until the roadway is closed.

• Once the police vehicles at the tail of the parade pass your vantage point, please proceed back to your vehicle.

   o We plan on opening the roadway as quickly as we safely can.

No Santa or Mrs. Claus parade entries, please.  The City of Midlothian’s Santa Claus will ride the anchor float as the “official” Santa Claus for the parade. Replicas of Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus or persons dressed as Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus will not be allowed in the parade. No other live or life-size likeness of Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus is permitted; although replications of reindeer, sleighs, elves, etc. are acceptable.

Festivities Information

Vendor registration closed Fri., Nov. 24.

To be held before the parade from 1 to 4 p.m. at Community Park, festivities will include Santa's Village, selfies with Santa, letters to Santa, free face painting and balloon art, an arts & crafts market, food for purchase, and more!

Bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Manna House Toy Drive.

Vendors please note: Santa and Mrs. Claus are partnering with the City for photos/selfies.  Vendors are not allowed to have Santa and/or Mrs. Claus photos/selfies.
